Seismic training will be held in Kazakhstan on September 11 - in order to develop a safety culture
On September 11, seismic training is planned to be carried out in Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations asked all residents of the country to actively participate in them and remain calm. These exercises will be a training event at which residents of the country will be reminded of the rules of behavior in the event of destructive earthquakes, and practical skills in applying these rules will also be developed, including identifying safe places and actions at reception centers for victims, Ulysmedia.kz reports.
It is important to remain calm and follow instructions carefully when receiving the Attention Everyone signal. If possible, residents are advised to urgently leave the building, and if impossible, take shelter in safe places.
These exercises are aimed at increasing public preparedness and awareness in the event of earthquakes and other emergencies.
Seismic training will be held as part of the republican command and staff exercise “Zher-2023”, which is aimed at preparing and educating the population, developing a safety culture, and increasing the level of preparedness of civil defense forces for earthquakes. In earthquake-prone regions, training will take place at the same time, from 10:00 to 11:00.
