The development of partnerships with the regions of the Russian Federation was discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the governor of St. Petersburg


The development of partnerships with large regions of the Russian Federation was discussed during the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov. Negotiations took place on Monday in Ashgabat as part of the visit of the Russian delegation to Turkmenistan.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations and considered priority areas of interaction between Turkmenistan and the regions of the Russian Federation. The cultural and humanitarian sphere, within which projects in the field of education, science and culture are being implemented, was named by the meeting participants as one of the most promising. In this context, the possibilities of holding joint events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the classical poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi were discussed.
The meeting also touched upon the development of trade relations between Turkmenistan and St. Petersburg, according to a press release from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
