Turkmenistan maintains economic growth dynamics at the same level: January-August 2023
In January-August 2023, Turkmenistan's GDP growth remained at 6.2%. At the previous July mark, the dynamics of increase is also recorded - in comparison with the same period in 2022 - in the volume of products produced in the country - 6.3%.
Retail trade turnover increased by 9.6% percent, and foreign trade turnover - by 2.5%. The volume of capital investments from all sources of financing increased by 10.9 percent.
Deputy Prime Minister Khadzhimurad Geldymyradov reported on macroeconomic indicators at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday, footage of which was shown on national television.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out to the Deputy Prime Minister the importance of working out the draft State Budget and Investment Program for the next year. The head of state also focused on the development of the national banking system and the expansion of its services.
