Ashgabat and Abu Dhabi want to introduce the practice of exchanging student diplomats
Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held talks with the Director General of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, UAE, Nikolai Mladenov, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit.
During the meeting held at the Foreign Ministry on Friday, Meredov stressed the importance of this visit in the context of intensifying cooperation between Turkmen universities and the Anvar Gargash Diplomatic Academy.
In particular, the Minister proposed to develop and sign a Roadmap for cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the UAE Diplomatic Academy, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
According to the parties, one of the important aspects of cooperation is the introduction of student exchange practices, the organization of courses for young diplomats, participation in joint educational projects and programs.
Earlier it was reported that in order to expand relations between the UAE and Turkmenistan in the field of training of diplomats, an introductory visit of the leadership, teachers and students of the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to AGDA (Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy), Abu Dhabi, will be organized this fall.
The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Anvar Gargash Diplomatic Academy signed a memorandum of understanding during the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the UAE in November 2022.
