Turkmenistan and Vietnam agreed to expand partnership in the trade and economic sphere


Inter-Ministerial consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were held on Friday via video conference, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Diplomats discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen- Vietnamese relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas. The parties highly appreciated the interaction of states within the framework of international and regional organizations, primarily in the UN. We also agreed to maintain the pace of regular political consultations to exchange views on issues of bilateral relations, regional and international agendas.
In the context of intensifying interstate partnership, issues of further cooperation in the fields of education, science, sports, as well as cultural exchanges were discussed.
Trade and economic cooperation was named one of the promising areas of interaction between Turkmenistan and Vietnam. To intensify the Turkmen-Vietnamese partnership and expand the scope of activities, the parties agreed to conduct a number of events between the relevant government agencies, as well as the business communities of the two countries.
