Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and France signed documents on cooperation


The official meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Catherine Colonna took place in Paris on Tuesday, September 5.
“During the meeting, issues of intensifying bilateral political and diplomatic relations were discussed. In this context, the possibilities of organizing visits at the state level were also considered. The heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries exchanged views on the most pressing issues of international and regional politics,” the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
The information says that following the meeting, Meredov and Colonna signed a number of bilateral documents.

Among them: the Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of education, the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France for 2024-2026.
Along with this, during the visit of the Turkmen delegation to France, a Declaration of friendly agreement on twinning between the cities of Arcadag and Maisons-Laffite (a city near Paris) was signed.
A cooperation agreement was also signed by the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Union de Banques Arabes et Françaises (Union of Arab and French Banks - UBAF).
The delegation of Turkmenistan made an official visit to Paris on the invitation of the French side, the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan specified.
