Ambassador of New Zealand arrived in Ashgabat to officially take office


The newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow) Sarah Mary Walsh arrived in Ashgabat for official accreditation. On Tuesday, the diplomat was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and presented copies of her credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Myakhri Byashimova.
The parties discussed the current agenda of bilateral cooperation, as well as exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in a wide range of areas of mutual interest, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
It is noted that the meeting discussed the creation of inter-parliamentary friendship groups in the legislative bodies of Turkmenistan and New Zealand, as well as the exchange of visits of parliamentary delegations. It was agreed to continue the practice of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including the UN.
