Kyrgyzstan is between St. Petersburg and the Far East. Experts believe that the St. Petersburg Economic Forum-2023 has become a "window of opportunity" for Central Asia – the result of this major forum was the implementation of new projects, solid financial dividends to Kyrgyz companies and serious cash injections into the Kyrgyz economy, which significantly strengthened the country's cooperation with the Russian Federation.

However, observers expect that the upcoming Eastern Economic Forum-2023, which will be held from September 10 to 13 in Vladivostok, also opens new prospects for Kyrgyzstan.

The Far Eastern region is key not only for the Russian Federation, it is also interesting for exports and investments of Central Asian states. Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Far East are connected by proximity to China. Moreover, this region of the Russian Federation borders not only China, but also economically developed Japan and South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. 18 countries of the Asia-Pacific region invest in this region.

Now the main thing, according to Kyrgyz experts, is not to miss the opening window of new opportunities in the form of the WEF economic platform and acquire new partners and connect to profitable projects.

Reduced the export of clothing, but increased trade operations with cattle. Kyrgyzstan has reduced the export of warm clothing by 2.3 times. If last year over the corresponding period more than 3 million pullovers and sweaters were sent from Kyrgyzstan, this year the volume of exports amounted to only 987.2 thousand sweaters. In value terms, the volume decreased by 80%. The main importers of warm clothes from Kyrgyzstan are Russia and Kazakhstan.

At the same time, in August of this year, Kyrgyzstan demonstrated an active movement in the livestock sector in the international arena. During the reporting period, 7 thousand 471 heads of cattle, 10 thousand 423 heads of small cattle, as well as 321 horses were exported.

How the Kyrgyz catfish floats on the Moscow Stock Exchange. In August, Kyrgyz currency worth 6 million 23.7 thousand rubles was purchased at the Moscow Exchange. But, if last month the ruble to som exchange rate was 107.4 rubles per 100 soms, then in July it was already 117 rubles. At the same time, the volumes in July were lower than in August – 3 million 492.5 thousand rubles.

In August, more Kyrgyz som was bought in Russia when its exchange rate became lower. According to the results, demand increased by 72.5%. The peak of demand for this currency fell on August 23, when stock market participants bought soms for 1.2 million rubles. The highest rate was marked on August 16 – 121 rubles per 100 soms.

So the Kyrgyz catfish, although it floats on price waves, but at the same time feels confident.

Let's hit the drug trade with drones! In Kyrgyzstan, UAVs are successfully used in the fight against drugs. So, in Karakol, employees of the Drug Trafficking Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in a regional meeting of experts on unmanned aerial vehicles and innovative technologies. There was also an exhibition of innovative equipment and a ceremony of its transfer for the SBNON of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.

The head of the Service, Ulanbek Sultanov, believes that "the use of UAVs in countering drug trafficking allows you to react quickly and track the growth of wild cannabis in mountainous terrain and make appropriate decisions."

Within the framework of the regional meeting, a meeting was also held with the Uzbek delegation, during which issues of interaction in the field of preventing the spread of new psychoactive substances, as well as medicines containing potent substances, were discussed.

With the whole world to a green ecology. Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Melis Turgunbayev met with the Ambassador of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic Hideki. He also met with Koike Shinya, Deputy Director of the Office for Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus, Bureau of Trade Policy, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. ...Deputies of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Ecology and Regional Development of the National Parliament approved the draft law "On Amendments to some Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic on green Ecology" in the first reading.

The bill is aimed at providing benefits for the use of immovable and movable property that reduces or eliminates environmental pollution. In particular, it was about electric cars.

According to the data of the General Customs Administration of China, in January-July 2023, Kyrgyzstan increased the import of electric vehicles from China by 7 times. In 7 months, 3027 electric vehicles were sent to Kyrgyzstan. During the same period of 2022, only 441 electric vehicles were imported. And for the whole of 2021, even less – 57 electric vehicles.

So the explosive demand for electric vehicles in Kyrgyzstan corresponds to the global trend – the desire for clean green energy.

The relevant draft law was adopted by the Committee of the National Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic on budget, economic and fiscal policy in the first reading. The background note states that the draft law has been prepared in order to accelerate the implementation of measures to simplify digital trade.

Currently, 14 States are members of ESCAP. In addition, domestic procedures for joining ESCAP are being carried out in 25 countries.

The Consular District includes St. Petersburg, the Republics of Karelia and Komi, as well as the Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod and Pskov regions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that the opening of the Consulate General in St. Petersburg is aimed at further development of economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the Russian side.

Within the framework of the projects, 120 teachers will work in 51 schools in Kyrgyzstan, as well as additional classes in advanced study of physics and mathematics.
