A public event “Super Dad” was held in the Ashgabat shopping and entertainment center “Berkarar”, organized jointly with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). “Super Dad” is a part of the UNICEF global campaign, which is held in Turkmenistan under the title “The First 1,000 Days' of Life Can Shape a Child's Future”.Aijahan ATABALLYEVA
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Education, the National Red Crescent Society, professionals working with children from an early age, the media, as well as happy moms and dads with their charming babies.
The goal of the campaign is to explain how the first positive experience of a child at an early age positively affects his health, well-being and mental abilities in adulthood.
According to scientists, the future of the child is formed in the first 1000 days of his life. The brain of the child develops with “cosmic” speed at this time, this happens through communication with parents, reading books, singing and various games. It is most important that the child receives parental love and care, which nothing can replace.
Within the framework of the event, the “corners” of the child's early development were organized, where each parent could receive advice from specialists of the education and health system. Young dads together with their children were involved in various gaming competitions, where they could show their paternal qualities. The audience also did not stay away. They participated in entertainment show, prepared to attract a wide audience.
Shahin Nilufer, UNICEF representative, said in her speech: “Today we celebrate the power of the dads and, in general, the strength of parents who are doing their best to educate their children.”
UNICEF carried out similar activities in more than 90 countries around the world to attract fathers to educate children at an early age to inspire them to become “Super Dad” for their “Super Children”. International studies have proved that children whose fathers take an active part in their upbringing grow up healthier, smarter and more successful.
