Budapest and Ashgabat have signed a political agreement on gas supplies from Turkmenistan to Hungary, negotiations between the companies are next, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto said.

"On the part of Turkmenistan, the political will and political intention is absolutely clear for Hungary to become one of the directions of potential supplies of Turkmen gas to Europe and one of the transit countries. A political agreement has been concluded, now it's the turn of the companies to continue commercial negotiations," Szijjarto said in a video message broadcast on the social network.
