Tashkent and Budapest launch direct flights from August 20


The launch of direct flights between Tashkent and Budapest from August 20 of this year was marked as a significant event contributing to the activation of business ties and an increase in the tourist flow of the two countries at a meeting of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Saturday.
The Uzbek leader arrived in Budapest at Orban's invitation to participate in events in connection with the Hungarian state holiday – St. Stephen's Day and the World Athletics Championships, which are taking place in the Hungarian capital these days.
On the eve of the celebrations, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Viktor Orban held talks on cooperation, noting the growth of mutual trade, cooperation of leading enterprises in various sectors of the economy, the entry of Hungarian OTP bank into the financial market of Uzbekistan and the participation of large Hungarian companies in projects of trade, economic and investment cooperation with Uzbekistan, according to the website of the Uzbek president.
