The new academic year in Turkmenistan: the first bell, solemn ceremonies and laptops for first-graders
On September 1, Turkmenistan celebrates the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth on a large scale. By good tradition, pupils and students began their first school day with a flower-laying ceremony at the Independence Monument and the monument to Berdimuhammet Annayev, which is installed in secondary school No. 27 of the village of Yorgant in the Geoktepa district of the Ahal region.
Modern laptops were presented to all first-graders of Turkmenistan on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
A more than 153 thousands first-graders went to the first class this year, each of whom received a Bilimli laptop as a gift from the domestic manufacturer Aýdyń gijeler. The devices run on the Android 13+ Google service operating system and have DDR4 4GB RAM for full-fledged study.
A solemn ceremony of laying the foundation of a new building of the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi for 5,000 seats was held in the city of Turkmenabat, Lebap region of Turkmenistan.
The laying of a new additional educational building for 2,000 seats on the adjacent territory of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, as well as a dormitory for 800 seats and an indoor sports facility took place in the city of Mary, Mary region.
Dozens of new educational institutions are being built and opened in Turkmenistan every year. Today, by the beginning of the new academic year, architectural premieres were held in different regions and districts of the country, in which representatives of public organizations, executive authorities, honorary elders and local residents participated.
