Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have increased trade turnover 5 times since 2017


Since 2017, when the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was signed, the trade turnover between the countries has increased 5 times. By the end of 2022, the volume of mutual trade has approached the $1 billion mark.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov wrote about this in an article dedicated to the Independence Day of Uzbekistan celebrated on September 1.
The head of the diplomatic mission also noted that since the signing of the above-mentioned agreement, interregional cooperation processes have been launched, mechanisms for joint work have appeared within the framework of the Business Council of Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan also noted the great importance of the Declaration signed in October 2022 on the deepening of strategic partnership between the countries, which in the future will have a significant impact on the expansion of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
