The Maly Theater of Russia will give performances in Turkmenistan as part of the "Big Tour"


The State Academic Maly Theater of Russia will come to Turkmenistan in September as part of the Big Tours project. Russian artists will present two productions to the Turkmen public - "The Cherry Orchard" and "Marriage". Performances will run from 18 to 22 September on the stage of the Main Academic Drama Theater named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi.
According to the press service of the Rosconcert, the "Big Tour" of Russian theaters will be held in September in Turkmenistan, as well as in Uzbekistan, Abkhazia and Belarus.
“The idea of recreating a unified touring system has received an incredible response from creative teams across the country. The programs “Big Tours” and “We are Russia” of the All-Russian Tour and Concert Plan attract more and more participants every year,” Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova was quoted in the press service as saying.
The autumn tour involves such Russian theaters as the State Academic Central Puppet Theater named after S. V. Obraztsov, which will go to Uzbekistan, the St. Petersburg Theater "Workshop" will give performances in Abkhazia.
Spectators in Belarus will see performances by the Theater-Festival "Baltic House", the Mari Opera and Ballet Theatre named after E. Sapaev and Rostov State Musical Theatre.
