Ashgabat Golf Club is preparing for the international tournament - Ashgabad Golf Cup 2023
Ashgabat Golf Club expects guests from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and other countries to the international tournament - Ashgabad Golf Cup 2023, which will be held from October 16 to 22.
On the eve of this event, Anton Samsonov, the first advanced golf professional in Russia and the author of the most popular YouTube channel about golf tips in Russian, visited the golf club in the Turkmen capital.
“Turkmenistan welcomes golfers with the bright colors of the city at night, which captivates with its beauty and white stone buildings, wide highways and, of course, friendliness!” Samsonov wrote in his material published on the Golf.Ru Internet portal.
He also noted that the Ashgabat Golf Club, designed by the famous designer and golfer Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2017, is located on a hill that allows you to see the panorama of the entire city.
“Representatives of embassies, foreigners working in Ashgabat play golf together with young golfers who train under the best player of Turkmenistan - Maksat Begiev. Starting to play about three years ago, Maksat already passes the golf course in less than 80 strokes and is the strongest player in the country, who also trains young golfers,” Samsonov writes.
He also cites the words of Maksat Begiev: “For me and our country, a golf tournament is a responsible event! We are actively preparing the field, telling our students who will be caddy (player's assistant) the rules of golf and, of course, we are looking forward to playing personally with the guests on our golf course in Ashgabat!
Chairman of the Golf Federation of Turkmenistan Furkat Aydashev actively holds meetings on visa support for all participants of the tournament and coordinates the last points of the excursion program for guests.
During a visit to Ashgabat, Anton Samsonov held an open golf lesson, where he spoke about the secrets of proper training, considering the application of these aspects while playing on the field.
