Dushanbe will become the center of opera and ballet art of the CIS countries

A coordinating council of opera and ballet theaters will appear in the CIS to exchange experience between cultural institutions and create a unified database of works. The creative project was initiated by the Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after S. Aini and will be opened in Dushanbe, the press service of the theater reports.
The corresponding proposal was presented by the director of the Dushanbe Opera and Ballet Theater at the CIS Commonwealth of Academic Arts Festival-symposium, which took place in St. Petersburg. "Colleagues warmly supported the idea of the theater of Tajikistan and have already started its practical and legal implementation," the message says.
The Council of Opera and Ballet Theaters of the CIS will become a collegial body and the basic organization of the CIS member states for cooperation in the field of music and theater. Within the framework of the project, participants will exchange experience, promptly solve emerging issues and create a single electronic database of works by contemporary musical authors.
Tajikistan will preside over the Council, whose leadership activity as an initiator will last until 2025.
