Oil production at the oldest Gumdag field increased by 20%
Oil production at one of the oldest fields in Turkmenistan "Gumdag" increased by almost 20%. Specialists of the Gumdagnebit oil and gas department of the Turkmennebit state concern produced 330,500 tons of black gold in seven months of this year, which is 50,000 tons more than in the same period last year, the Turkmenistan newspaper reports.
In total, the growth rate of oil production at the wells of the field amounted to almost 20%, the production plan was exceeded by 12%. According to the publication, the increase in production at the field, which marked the 75th anniversary of its industrial development this year, is associated with the introduction of new practices of extracting the resource, as well as the modernization of the equipment necessary for this.
In addition, enterprises actively developing local deposits were able to produce about 3 million cubic meters of gas over the indicated period. Now the oil workers are increasing the intensity of pumping to achieve high rates in honor of the country's Independence Day.
