President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent his deep condolences to President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in connection with the natural disasters that occurred in the country, which led to human casualties, injuries and destruction.
On behalf of the people, the government of Turkmenistan and on his own behalf, the head of state conveyed words of empathy and support at this difficult moment to the families and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the victims. In Tajikistan, heavy rains on August 27 provoked natural disasters that claimed the lives of 13 people in the city of Vahdat and the Rudaki district, the press service of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
Heavy rainfall on Sunday also seriously damaged sections of the Dushanbe- Khujand road: mudflows, landslides, and rockfalls were recorded there.
