CGTN: The program "Classic expressions of Xi Jinping" sounds in different languages
The launch ceremony of the second season of the program "Classic Expressions of Xi Jinping" took place in Johannesburg (South Africa).
The series includes quotations from the works of ancient Chinese classics, which Chinese President Xi Jinping used in his speeches, articles and remarks. It is designed to help the public understand the uniqueness of traditional Chinese culture, to learn the secret of success in managing the Celestial Empire in a new era.
The issue is formed from real stories of people involved in the modernization of China. The stories were collected by leading media corporations and international experts who went to the very heart of Chinese society. This issue reveals the meaning of Xi Jinping's famous statement, which can be translated as "the state should be guided not by considerations of profit, but by justice for the sake of profit."
The series has been translated into English, French, Arabic, Hausa, Swahili and other languages. The Hindi and Tamil version was also rotated in the Indian media during the BRICS summit. Since Sunday, the documentary has been broadcast by 62 leading media outlets in 38 African countries, including South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria.
