Tours, festivals, cultural exchanges are planned by the Astrakhan region and Turkmenistan
Plans for the organization of mutual touring activities and the participation of artists of the Astrakhan region and Turkmenistan in significant cultural events of each other next year, 2024, were considered at a meeting at the Ministry of External Relations of the JSC on Wednesday.
Negotiations between the head of the department and the head of the Department of International Relations of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan Bilbil Babayeva, who arrived in Astrakhan to participate in the International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons" as an honorary guest, took place here.
"We are very pleased that the Government of Turkmenistan has sent the best artists of your country to the Caspian Seasons International Festival," Vladimir Golovkov said. "We always remember that thanks to Turkmenistan, a school named after Magtymguly Pyragy was built in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan region, and a monument to this great thinker and poet was erected in the city of Astrakhan."
The Minister informed the guest that preparations for the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy have begun in the Astrakhan region. Round tables, conferences, poetry evenings, a teleconference and other events are planned, according to the website of the Office of the press service and information of the Governor of the JSC of the Russian Federation.
"Next week, a film group from Ashgabat will arrive in Astrakhan, which will take part in the filming of a film about Magtymguly Pyragy," the minister added. — We have prepared a large program for her, which includes a visit to the village of Funtovo and communication with its old residents, as well as filming at the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev and at a number of other facilities. We will try to provide maximum assistance to the creators of the future film."
During the negotiations, the Turkmen side was informed about the international cultural events held in the Astrakhan region: the International Literary Festival for Children and Youth, the Assembly of Young Professionals of the Library business of the Caspian countries, the Caspian Television Festival-competition of young maestros "Golden Key" and others.
