Turkmenistan will take part in the I International Forum of Composers of the Caspian countries


I International Forum of Composers of the Countries The Caspian Sea will be held in Astrakhan as part of the International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons — 2023", which will be held in the Russian city from August 22 to September 6.
The cultural project starts on Wednesday at the Astrakhan Philharmonic, where creative people and eminent composers of five Caspian littoral states, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Russia, will meet.
Turkmenistan will be represented at the forum by composer Mammed Guseynov, Chairman of the Turkmen regional branch of the Union of Composers of Eurasia, art director of the Moscow International Art Festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmammedov. He is a regular guest of the Caspian Seasons Festival: last year, the musician, together with his wife Darya Guseynova, an artist of the Helikon-Opera Moscow Musical Theater, performed at the Turkmenistan Day concert, and in 2021, his symphonic poem was performed by the Consolidated Symphony Orchestra of the Caspian countries.
On the sidelines of the music forum, composers will discuss new forms of modern music and present their original works. Some compositions will be performed at the gala concert, which will take place at the opening ceremony of the Caspian Seasons - 2023 festival, according to a press release from the organizers of the forum.
