The Turkmen runner entered the qualification race at the World Championship


Turkmen track and field athlete Alisher Sadullayev took part in the preliminary races for the 100 meters of the World Championship, which started today, August 19, in Budapest (Hungary).
The athletes who demonstrated the best results automatically qualified for the first round. The Turkmen athlete, who represented his country for the first time at a tournament of this scale, became the tenth with a score of 10.90 seconds. And the qualification was won by Muhd Azim Fahmy from Malaysia with a score of 10, 24 seconds.
In total, four qualifying races were held – two athletes from each of them went to the next round. Two more participants were determined by the best time among the losers.

"This is my first time at a world-class competition and I hope that participation in this prestigious tournament will give a strong impetus to my career and serve as personal motivation," Alisher Sadullayev told ORIENT.
More than 2000 athletes from more than 200 countries take part in the championship. The arena, built specifically for the tournament - National Athletics Centre accommodates 36,000 spectators. The highways for marathon running and race walking competitions are laid in the central part of Budapest.
— The infrastructure that I saw here is excellent, I am delighted! As well as the organization of the championship itself, it is also at a high level," Sadullayev added.
