The Turkmen Ambassador presented his credentials to the Emir of Qatar
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Qatar Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov presented his credentials to Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani as the new head of the diplomatic mission in the country, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
During the solemn ceremony, the diplomat conveyed the best wishes to the Emir on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Thanking for the warm words, the monarch conveyed greetings to the leadership of Turkmenistan, and peace and prosperity to the people of the country.
Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar by decree of the head of state at the end of July. This year, the two countries set a course for intensifying bilateral and multilateral cooperation: for example, a new building of the Turkmen embassy was opened in Doha, Turkmenistan expressed its readiness to expand cooperation with the Gulf countries in the field of transport and energy, as well as to increase trade and economic partnership with Qatar.
