A master class on cooking Turkmen pilaf will be held in Kazan


A master class on cooking Turkmen pilaf is scheduled to be held as part of the “Tasty Kazan” gastronomic festival, which is timed to the tenth anniversary of the Universiade held in the capital of Tatarstan. Guests of the event will be able to taste dishes from 80 city restaurants and cafes.
The festival will take place on August 19-20 in the courtyard of the Government Offices of the Kazan Kremlin. The main celebrations will unfold at the Kazan Family Center, where the main Turkmen dish will be presented, the press service of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan reports.
Visitors will be able to taste sweets with tea from a 300-liter samovar at the Tea Alley and visit the tartar battle of the chefs of the most prestigious restaurants in the city. The next day there will be a discussion about the prospects for the development of the restaurant business.
Currently, more than 3.7 thousand students from Turkmenistan are studying in Kazan. The city regularly hosts international festivals and holidays with their participation. This time, within the framework of the event, a large fair of needleworkers will be organized, from which it will be possible to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs.
The festival has been held annually since 2015. Last time it was visited by more than 40 thousand people.
