Holding the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the summer of 2020 “in full feather” will prove that the world was able to terminate the coronavirus. This was stated by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who clarified that he had enlisted the “Group of seven” leaders’ support. The politician confirmed that he held a teleconference with the G7 colleagues. He summoned them to cooperate in developing a vaccine against COVID-19. According to Abe, the authorities of the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, the US, France and Japan have agreed to take steps to cope with the severe economic impact, CNN notes. Earlier, a member of the International Olympic Committee, Dick Pound, announced the possible cancellation of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo because of a coronavirus.
