The best children-skewers were determined in Ashgabat: how was it?
The winners of the open championship of the capital among mini-cadets under 12 years old were determined in Ashgabat. The sports championship was organized by the Fencing Federation of Turkmenistan, about fifty children took part in it under the guidance of a young coach, the champion of Central Asia among juniors Jumanazar Dovetnazarov, the ORIENT correspondent reports.
The tournament lasted about five hours, during which the children went through competitive cycles. With their help, athletes were identified who give hope and allow us to talk about a decent younger shift. With the French "en garde!" and "alley!" the children masterfully coped with cold weapons, applying touches and receiving them with dignity.
The scoreboard was burning red, then green, and the more one color prevailed over the other, the more nervous the parents were. They came to see how their children deftly handled the noble sword. But here each duel ends with the number "15", or more precisely — 15 touches to the opponent. Although it was difficult to call the young athletes opponents: a friendly team did not allow to doubt the sincerity of children's sports. Passions unfolded closer to the final, when the cries of the boys who reached the last fights became louder, and the tears of the losing girls became more abundant.
One of these athletes was Medina Mommadova, who was one step away from reaching the final of the tournament. Medina admitted that this is her first competition, and she would like to show the best result. Of course, sport is not a child's game, friendship does not always win here, but it can be kept in a team, which is what girls do.
The changeable mood in the air, as usual, progressed from bitter disappointment to joy for a friend and undoubtedly delighted the audience with pure and genuine emotions, the authors of which were these children.
But then the "alt!" sounded and the fencers, saluting with swords, take off their masks and shake hands, violently discussing attacks. Special attention was focused on the very young wards of the famous coach: the wrist, it seems, of a fragile hand, which barely holds a heavy sword as long as the athlete himself, easily fencing with a piercing weapon.
At the end there was the most exciting moment: the announcement of the winners. Mamedali Suleymanov takes the gold of the fight among boys, Aysenem Matayeva takes the gold among girls, Daniel Voronin and Bibisoltan Geldiyeva get the silver awards. Jennet Mammedova, Elif Abdullayeva, Arseniy Assaul and Hemra Hanmedov are entitled to be called bronze medalists of the capital.
