Turkmen athletes won 16 medals at the Asian Unifight Championship
16 medals - 2 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze - were won by Turkmen athletes at the Asian Unifight Championship held from August 11 to 17 in Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan). This was reported to an ORIENT correspondent by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the country.
Toyly Bazarov, 8th grade student of the 2nd comprehensive school. He became the champion in knife throwing and the silver medalist in the classic universal fight in the weight up to 55 kg.
Nagmat Khodjamammedov also took part in the championship in the weight up to 80 kg. He managed to win gold in knife throwing and silver in light universal combat.
Vepa Khodjamammedov, a 1st year student at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, won three medals in the weight class up to 75 kg: silver in light and classic universal combat and bronze in knife throwing.
Yazmyrat Allanov, a student of the 10th grade of school No. 24 in the city of Mary, took third place in the classical form of martial arts.
Shohrat Orazgeldiyev, Police Major of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, won three medals in weight up to 70 kg: silver in light and classic universal fight and bronze in knife throwing.
