Hungary supports Turkmenistan's proposal on a Global security Strategy

Hungary supports Turkmenistan's proposal to develop a Global security Strategy, which Turkmenistan will put forward at the UN, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said after a telephone conversation with his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov on Thursday.
Every proposal aimed at strengthening the UN Charter, peaceful political settlement of conflicts and support for diplomatic efforts to prevent wars is important now, Szijjarto wrote in his Facebook post. "If there was ever a time to ensure compliance with the UN Charter and the goals defined in it, then this is certainly it," the Hungarian Telegraph Agency, MTI, quotes the minister.
"We support everything that can finally lead to peace in any part of the world, especially in our neighboring country," the Hungarian Foreign Minister said, adding that he also confirmed this position to his Turkmen counterpart.
Earlier, Turkmenistan announced its priority positions at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
Thus, Turkmenistan considers it necessary to use the potential of the UN to give a balanced, non-ideologized assessment of current events and trends, overcome distrust and confrontational intensity in world politics, and try to identify prospects for compromise and mutual consideration of interests.
In this context, Turkmenistan proposes to start discussing the possibilities of developing a global security Strategy.
