Danish retailer Auluna wants to produce clothes in Uzbekistan

Danish online retailer Auluna Private Lable, a seller and manufacturer of outerwear, including eco-leather, plans to move part of its production facilities from China to Uzbekistan. By opening a factory in a new location, the company intends to solve logistics difficulties and reduce the time of delivery of goods to the European market. Currently, products from China travel to Europe for an average of 6-7 weeks.
Uzbekistan became the main candidate for the construction of the plant. The developed leather and shoe industry also played in favor of the country. The investor also put forward an initiative to create in Denmark, together with the Uzbek side, a showroom presenting shoe products manufactured in Uzbekistan. Another project may be an online platform for the sale of these products in the countries of the Scandinavian Peninsula.
These business topics were discussed at the talks by the chairman of the association "Uzcharmsanoat" Fahriddin Boboev and the chief executive officer of the Danish company Auluna Private Lable Christian Aachmann. Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the detailed development of a plan for the creation of production of eco-leather products in Uzbekistan, Podrobno.uz reports.
Auluna Private Lable was founded in Denmark in 1965 and today is engaged in online retail of eco-leather and textile clothing in the countries of Scandinavia and Germany.
