The winners of the qualifying round of the contest "Çalsana, bagşy!" were determined in the Lebap region
The regional stage of the creative review "Çalsana, bagşy!" ended in the Lebap region. The final round of the competition was held in the building "White Yurt of Turkmens" in the city of Turkmenabad, where the best folk musicians and bakhshi of the region showed their skills and performing talents.
Having passed the qualifying round, the winners of the competition were 4 young performers who will represent the region in the final of the contest "Çalsana, bagşy!", which will be held in autumn in Ashgabat.
The creative review "Çalsana, bagşy!" takes place within the framework of the "Türkmeniń Altyn asyry" competition proclaimed by the President of Turkmenistan and is held in the country for the second time. The musical competition was established in January 2022 to study and promote the national cultural heritage, as well as on the occasion of the inclusion of the craft of making dutar, performing musical art on it and the art of bakhshi in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The organizer of the musical marathon of folk musicians and bakhshi is the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. According to the terms of the competition, Turkmen citizens aged from 18 to 35 years can become a participant. Currently, qualifying rounds are held in Ashgabat and in all regions of the country.
