4,000 steps a day that prolong life: a study by scientists

To be precise, scientists recommend taking 3,967 steps every day to reduce the risk of death. Such a verdict was made by a group of international scientists based on the results of their research.
Experts analyzed 17 studies involving more than 220,000 people. Scientists have found that almost 4,000 steps a day can reduce the likelihood of death from any cause. But daily 2,337 steps can reduce the risk of heart disease.
“Our research confirms that the more you walk, the better. This applies to both men and women, regardless of age and whether you live in a temperate, subtropical, subpolar region of the world or in a region with a mixed climate,-noted the authors of the research paper, The Guardian writes.
