Chinese TV will show documentaries about Turkmenistan


The Turkmen diplomatic mission in Beijing hosted a meeting between Ambassador of Turkmenistan Parahat Durdyev and chief producer of the program "The Beauty of Shared Arts" of the CCTV channel of the state agency "CHINA MEDIA GROUP" Fan Tin and his team.
The main topic of the talks was the screening in China of eleven 90-minute documentaries about Turkmenistan. The films are dedicated to the cultural, historical and spiritual values of the Turkmen people. The film screening is scheduled for October and will be shown on Chinese television.
Editor-in-chief of the TV channel Shao Wenyao, who also participated in the meeting, said that the Chinese TV crews are going to make a 90-minute non-fiction film about the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and present the film to a multi-million audience in China. In this regard, Parah Durdyev told the guests about the unique historical and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan, including world-famous Turkmen carpets and Akhal-Teke horses, jewelry and national needlework.
The diplomat dwelled in more detail on the national nominations - destan "Gorogly", the Turkmen national art of carpet weaving and the Turkmen national art of singing and dancing "Kushtdepdi", the craft of making dutar, performing musical art on it and the art of bakhshi, included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The parties also paid attention to the international cooperation of Turkmenistan in the field of culture. It was noted that the country's foreign policy strategy opens up great opportunities for the exchange of information and effective interaction in the field of communications, including with Chinese partners.
In this regard, it was noted that the Chinese news agency CCTV is one of the important partners of Turkmenistan in covering the domestic and foreign policy of the state in the authoritative publications of the PRC and integrating the country into the international media space.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the importance of the books of the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dedicated to the Turkmen art of carpet weaving, Akhal-Teke horses and other national values. These books have been translated into foreign languages and made available to foreign readers.
At the end of the meeting, the Turkmen ambassador presented the Chinese guests with Gurbanguly Berdimukhaedov’s books “Türkmeniň döwletlilik ýörelgesi” (“Principle of Turkmen Statehood”), “Ganatly bedew” (“Winged Horse”), “Atda wepa-da bar, sapa-da” and wished them further success.
