Military working dogs are used around the world to strength the security of borders and public safety in crowded places, such as airports and train stations. Methods and approaches to the training of service dogs are constantly being improved.
Dog experts from Belarus shared their best practices in this field, taking into account the development of high know-how, which offer a variety of technological measures in response to the security challenges facing the world.
Natalia Drozd, Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, noted: “This seminar offered an excellent opportunity for the exchange of international standards and national practice of effective use of military working dogs and tracker dogs in ensuring border security. The OSCE Center is ready to support the State Border Service of Turkmenistan through the exchange of best practices accumulated by the OSCE participating States.”
Within the framework of the project, the OSCE Center in Ashgabat organized a study visit to Belgium, which allowed the officers-cynologists from the State Border Service of Turkmenistan to exchange experience with their colleagues from the Cynology Department of the Belgian Federal Police.
