Shavkat Mirziyoyev assessed the results of the summit of the heads of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan
The summit of the heads of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, organized on the initiative of the national leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will give a new impetus to the development of interstate cooperation in the region.
Such an assessment of the summit was given by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in a telegram addressed to Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the successful organization of the trilateral meeting in Ashgabat.
The joint statement following the summit was an important historical event on the path of rapprochement between Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Mirziyoyev stressed.
Experts and specialists of the countries participating in the summit have already begun to develop measures to ensure the full and practical implementation of the agreements reached, the head of Uzbekistan emphasized.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting in Ashgabat, Mirziyoyev highlighted the joint and rational use of regional water resources, the definition of common prospects in the energy sector, as well as the expansion of transit and transport potential.
