Nike sneakers from Andijan are supplied to the markets of Turkmenistan and Central Asia
The production of sports sneakers under the Nike brand has been opened in Uzbekistan. At the Andijan enterprise, new lines for molding the soles and uppers of sports shoes of a well-known brand were launched. The skills of Uzbek specialists are improved by technologists, designers and tailors from the Chinese branch of Nike, Sputnik reports.
The factory makes 6,000 pairs of sneakers a day. By the end of the year, the company plans to increase its capacity by 2 times. Today, sports shoes Nike "made in Uzbekistan" are already supplied to local markets, as well as of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
In the near future, sneakers made in Andijan will be sold in stores in Central Asia, Pakistan, and later in Europe. Providing Nike Uzbekistan with its official barcode means that the Andijan enterprise has the right to produce all models of the world brand's sneakers.
Nike granted permission to launch an enterprise in Uzbekistan back in 2019. This production was organized by the Chinese company Sino International, which for five years has been building a system of quality standards required by Nike. In particular, new production lines were created, decent working conditions for employees and high quality control were organized.
In the future, the annual production capacity is planned to increase to 3 million pairs of sneakers, the report says.
