The Turkmen weightlifter became the vice-champion of the II Games of the CIS countries


The Turkmen weightlifter Ali Babamuradov brought another silver medal to the piggy bank of the Turkmen national team at the II CIS Games that started on August 4 in Belarus.
Turkmen weightlifter Ali Babamuradov was awarded the silver medal in the weight category up to 55 kg, showing the result in the sum of the two-man event - 215 kg (95 +120). The gold medal winner was weightlifter from Uzbekistan Ogabek Nafasov - 240 kg (110 + 130). The top three leaders were closed by Belarusian Grigory Vertinsky - 194 kg (88+106).

Earlier, weightlifter Yulduz Jumabayeva became the first representative in the history of Turkmenistan to win a medal at the CIS Games. She won silver in the weight category up to 49 kg.
Today, on August 5, the official opening ceremony of the II CIS Games will take place today at the Minsk Arena. One of the main features of the Games is that the starts will be held throughout Belarus.
The competitions are open, not only athletes from the CIS came to Belarus, but also guests from Venezuela, Vietnam, Egypt, Iran, Cuba, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mongolia, the UAE, Oman, Pakistan and other countries.
