Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation exchanged views on the agenda of cooperation


Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Batyr Niyazliev met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Dauren Abaev.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the current course and prospects for cooperation between the two countries. It was noted that relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are actively and consistently developing on the basis of the principles of friendship, good neighborliness, mutual respect and equality, according to the website of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Moscow.
The heads of diplomatic missions informed each other about the main foreign policy principles that guide their countries when interacting with other states. International cooperation in strengthening peace and security, combating new threats and challenges, and advancing the global energy and transport agenda were noted as priorities.
The importance and prospects of developing bilateral partnerships in the context of further strengthening cooperation within the UN and other authoritative international organizations were also stated.
The heads of the Turkmen and Kazakh diplomatic missions in Moscow agreed to continue working contacts.
