The next bronze medal in the collection of the Turkmen national team at the II Games of the CIS countries was brought today, August 8, by 15-year-old archer Ezizmuhammed Sahedov. In the fight for the third step of the podium in the individual competition , he surpassed the Russian Sodnom Budaev with a score of 7:1.
His father, chairman of the National Archery Federation and head coach of the Turkmen national team Vepa Sahedov in an interview with sb.by said:
— I am satisfied with the result. Son is one of the youngest here, but ahead of many who are closer to 25 years old. In the qualification, the athletes made 72 shots each – Ezizmuhammet showed 10th place. Soon he got on the grid to the representative of Armenia Davtyan and won 6:0. Then there were the Belarusian Prilepov (5:6) and the Russian Makhmudov (6:2). But the semi-final with another archer from Russia Tsyrendorzhiev turned out to be dramatic. First, they shot 5:5, then the athletes were given one arrow each: whoever gets closer wins. The opponent hit nine, we hit eight.
