The largest conference dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Nury Halmamedov will be held in Moscow


The Moscow International Festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov presents a new large-scale event in the world of musicology - an international scientific and practical conference "The problem of the formation of national composer schools in a multicultural space."
A major forum to be held on October 30 is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov, which is celebrated this year.
The organizer is the Organizing Committee of the Sounds of the Dutar Festival together with the Russian State Library (Federal State Budgetary Institution "Russian State Library") - one of the largest public libraries in continental Europe and the world. The event will be held in one of the most beautiful and famous buildings in Moscow in the Pashkov House (Vozdvizhenka St., 3/5, building 1).

The geography of participants covers the main music universities in Russia and Turkmenistan, as well as the CIS countries. Leading scientists in the field of art history, cultural studies, pedagogy, social and cultural activities, including Turkmen musicologists, will present their research. The conference will be held in person and by correspondence.
“The purpose of our conference is an attempt to comprehend the phenomenon of national composer schools and their founders. The mutual influence of art, the achievements of the cultures of different peoples attract special attention of scientists, teachers and creative people of our time,” the press center of the art festival "Sounds of dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov notes.
According to the organizers, the forum will address the issues of studying the national composer school as a factor in the intercultural integration of peoples, the importance of Russian classical music in the formation of national professional music, the interaction of the artistic cultures of the West and the East in musical culture, the role of the composer as the creator of the moral concept.
