UNDP launches online campaign in honor of International Youth Day

In honor of International Youth Day, which is celebrated annually on August 12, UNDP in Turkmenistan is launching an online campaign.
Given the widespread stereotypes that the exact sciences and engineering disciplines are a field of activity for predominantly men, the organizers of the action call on everyone to take part in changing such gender perceptions that have developed around STEM education (this is a model that includes natural sciences, technologies, engineering and mathematics).
An online campaign under the hashtag #IChooseSTEM, which will be held on social networks, is aimed at encouraging representatives of the beautiful half of society to study information technology. According to experts, improving STEM literacy will help every specialist, including women and girls, remain in demand in the labor market.
Each of us can share stories of women who have built successful careers or received STEM education.
