The date of the Kurash World Championship in Ashgabat has been determined
The State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, together with the International Kurash Association, will hold the Kurash World Championship in Ashgabat on November 23-28, 2023.
The corresponding resolution was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The document prescribes the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports to develop and approve, in coordination with the International Kurash Association, the regulations on holding the championship, the news service of the Turkmen State Television and Radio reports.
The competitions will be held on the basis of the martial arts complex of the Olympic Town of the Turkmen capital.
The preamble of the document notes that Turkmenistan is organizing this world championship "in order to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and good neighborliness between peoples, promote physical education and sports, actively affirm the principles of a healthy lifestyle in society, widely attract the younger generation to sports, as well as increase the international sports prestige of the country."
Earlier, by the decree of the President, the Organizing Committee of the Kurash World Championship was created.
