Pictures of directors from Turkmenistan at the competition "Shoot in 48 hours" became many times more
This year, Turkmen filmmakers submitted 18 short films to the regional competition “Shoot in 48 hours”, which is held under the auspices of the movement Go Viral. This was announced by the site coordinator and representative of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan Zhanaydar Duzgenbay, SNG-MEDIA reports.
“18 works were received directly from Ashgabat. For comparison, I will say that previously three or four works were sent. Let me remind you that according to the conditions of the competition, one film is accepted from one team, and this indicates that 18 initiative film crews have appeared in Turkmenistan,” the Go Viral coordinator notes.
In addition, the positive dynamics, which is the increasingly active participation of the people of Turkmenistan in the framework of the network community initiative, were especially emphasized. According to the terms of the annual competition, participants will have to submit a tape no more than 4 minutes in two days. Successful experience of the participation of Turkmen representatives already exists: the film by director and at the same time the protagonist of the drama "Life Calculation" Murat Mollaev in 2021 entered the top of the competition.
Enthusiasts from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will be able to take part in the competition. The announcement of the results in the format of the show will take place in September this year in Almaty, and the screening of the best films will be held in Ashgabat.
