Warner Bros. relaunches the iconic cartoon: Tom and Jerry are now in Singapore
The inseparable duo in the person of Tom and Jerry will receive a "soft" reboot for the Asian audience. Warner Bros. Studio and the Cartoon Network channel belonging to it announced a new short animated series about the adventures of the famous cat and the elusive mouse.
The action will be transferred to the picturesque streets of Singapore — that's where Tom and Jerry will meet their new adventures. Seven episodes with a timekeeping of three minutes are announced for the season. The following is a quote from Christopher Ho, head of children's content at Warner Bros.' Southeast Asia branch. The manager believes that a fresh location will add a unique charm to the animation franchise:
"This animated series will bring back the cult music and classic animation style that reigned in the 1950s during the era of the Hanna-Barbera studio, but adjusted for modern Singapore. The Asian city-state with its characteristic sights, scenery and unique atmosphere has become an ideal place to create another humorous addition to the general canon of "Tom and Jerry".
