Shenzhen authorities will promote Huawei's HarmonyOS and EulerOS operating systems


The Chinese company, one of the leaders in the field of telecommunications, announced its intention to promote the HarmonyOS and EulerOS operating systems created by the company in its native Shenzhen.
By 2025, almost all local institutions will use domestic operating systems, the South China Morning Post reports. By that time, at least 10 branches of the local economy and at least 100 companies with headquarters in Shenzhen will have to switch to HarmonyOS and EulerOS.
The first to make the transition will be enterprises in the field of water supply, transport and educational institutions of the city. In parallel, operating systems will be tested by industrial enterprises, financial organizations, companies in the field of energy and healthcare.
According to Counterpoint Research, the share of HarmonyOS in the Chinese operating system market increased to 8% in the first quarter. In turn, EulerOS has 430 million installations in 130 countries and regions.
