Young chemists from Turkmenistan won 4 medals at the Chemistry Olympiad in Zurich


Turkmen high school students won one silver and three bronze medals at the 55th International Chemistry Olympiad in Zurich (July 16-25). The awards ceremony, which took place on Monday, was broadcast online on the Olympiad website.
Four students of the Ashgabat Specialized Boarding School named after S. Turkmenbashi received awards. The 11th grade student Ykhlas Dzhumaev was awarded the silver medal. Bronze medals were won by Yakup Annaorazov and Begzada Annaev (11th grade) and Aigul Atajanova (10th grade).
As reported on the website of the organizers of the Olympiad, 89 delegations from around the world arrived in Zurich. 348 high school students participated in the competition. Gold medals were awarded to 10% of participants, silver - 20%, bronze - 30%.
The 56th International Chemistry Olympiad will be held in July 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
