The Turkmen Ambassador to Kazakhstan took part in the meeting of the special representatives of Central Asia and the United States on Afghanistan


Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov took part in a meeting of special representatives of Central Asia and the United States in the "C5+1" format in Astana. This is reported on the diplomatic mission's Instagram page.
In his speech, the diplomat stressed Turkmenistan's interest in achieving political and economic stability in Afghanistan. This meeting is an excellent platform for further consultations on determining priority areas of cooperation, discussing and taking urgent measures on topical issues of regional security.
During the meeting, the participants discussed a wide range of issues on Afghanistan, including the provision of humanitarian assistance, the protection of human rights, as well as security and the fight against terrorism at the site of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
The American side was represented by U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West and U.S. Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls and Human Rights Rina Amiri.
