The conference "Russian language is the basis of integration dialogue in the CIS region" will be held in St. Petersburg
The international conference "The Russian language is the basis of integration dialogue in the CIS region" will be held on October 26-27 in St. Petersburg. Representatives of the authorities, cultural, scientific and educational institutions, international organizations and the business community of the CIS countries will gather on the sidelines of the forum, the website of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
The Tauride Palace, the headquarters of the IPA CIS, will be the venue for plenary meetings and round tables of the conference. Russian participants will discuss the current situation of the Russian language as a language of interethnic communication in the CIS and in the world, the study of the "great and mighty" as a native and foreign language in the CIS countries and beyond, as well as the Russian language as an international language of diplomacy and rulemaking in the CIS countries.
Recall that by the decision of the Council of CIS Heads of State, 2023 was declared the Year of the Russian Language as the language of interethnic communication in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Russian Language and Literature Teachers International Association, Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language, Association of Russian Theater Workers Abroad, Baltic House Theater Festival, St. Petersburg State Institute of Cinema and Television, Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, the Union of Translators of Russia and a number of other organizations, partners of the IPA CIS from the CIS countries, will support the conference events.
