UNDP in Turkmenistan held a seminar on the neutrality of land degradation

The neutrality of land degradation was the main topic of the seminar held by UNDP in Turkmenistan together with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The workshop is part of a series of capacity-building activities in the field of achieving a neutral balance of land degradation (NBLD). It is organized within the framework of the project "Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and ecosystems of high natural value in the Aral Sea basin for obtaining numerous benefits".
The project is aimed at assisting in the restoration and improvement of the use of land and water resources in the Amu Darya basin.
The purpose of the NBLD is to preserve the fund of land resources without net loss of healthy and productive lands. To do this, it is necessary to assess the likely consequences of decisions in the field of land use and land management.
