What is beauty?

“... And if so, then what is beauty,
and why do people deify it?
Is it a vessel in which there is a void,
or a fire shimmering in a vessel? ” the undying lines of the poet Nikolai Zabolotsky say.
The question of what human beauty is philosophical enough and has been disturbing people’s minds for centuries. However, the creative women of Turkmenistan, who presented a spring vernisage to lovers of beauty in Ashgabat today, give prompt reply.
People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Dursunsolmaz Muhammedova:
- Beauty is life. And life is beauty. And not only person should be beautiful, everything around him should always be beautiful.
Gulyara Babayeva, ceramist:
- Beauty and inspiration are my family, my home, my nature. Now everything is inspired in the spring. And, the most important thing is my clay. You cannot start to work with it in a bad mood, otherwise the clay articles will be of poor quality, it will quickly break up or nobody will like it. It will remain stored in the shelf.
Annabibi Islamova, carpet artist:
- Beauty is the spiritual qualities. It comes from the soul, from its purity and simplicity. And it amazingly affects everyone: it attracts the eye, it is remembered, it is impossible to pass by it. And, of course, it is very important that the artist is in a good mood. God created us for the role in the short spectacle, and therefore we should live a beautiful and bright life.
Gulshirin Berdiyeva, carpet artist:
- Beauty is easier to feel than to explain. It is everything that surround us, support and inspires us. These are our children, our work, and our universe. Life itself is very beautiful. Especially in the spring. Each season is beautiful, but in spring, we all seem to bloom along with nature.
It is amazing a way that diverse creative personalities can sometimes be of one mind. They find beauty and inspiration in life itself that splashed onto the canvas with bright colors, fired in furnaces in bizarre forms, or that warm our reality by carpet threads. Ultimate and just because of this – infinite.
As per the Great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli: “... And your life will be glorified, just as you set on by fire. Like a torch, you come out with a light – you are not forever, you are not forever!”
