Turkmenistan represented at the intellectual property forum in Urumqi


A representative of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan took part in the international forum "Intellectual Property Promoting Regional Development" in the city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China.
The purpose of the forum is to discuss cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia in the relevant field, as well as to create a common mechanism for the exchange of information on intellectual property objects, according to Xinjiang Daily.
As the participants of the event noted, this meeting is an important step in deepening cooperation in the field of intellectual property within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. The PRC is ready to continue deepening practical cooperation in this area with the Central Asian countries, and this will contribute to regional prosperity and development.
The forum also discusses the acceleration of the creation of intellectual property protection centers in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China.
In addition to the delegation of Turkmenistan, representatives of various ministries and departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan came to take part in the event.
The forum will last until July 26.
